Now Hiring - Head Coach Position

Position Overview

The Head Coach serves as a leader of our hockey program and is responsible for:

• Overseeing all on-ice activities for varsity and junior varsity teams

• Promoting a competitive, structured, and positive team environment

• Selecting and managing assistant and JV coaching staff

• Upholding all club policies, procedures, and codes of conduct

• Collaborating with the Board on program development

Requirements

• Valid USA Hockey certification (appropriate level)

• Complete a background check

• Annual SafeSport certification 

• Sign a Coaches Code of Conduct

• Resume on file with CKHC

Desired Qualifications & Characteristics

We are seeking a coach who demonstrates:

• Strong leadership and communications skills with players, families, and board members

• Commitment to sportsmanship, fair play, and player development

• Ability to foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful team culture

• Knowledge of and compliance with USA Hockey and MVCHA requirements, SafeSport, and background checks.

• Experience coaching high-school-aged athletes (preferred)

• Organizational skills and accountability in managing team operations

• Alignment with CKHC's non-discrimination policies and community-focused mission

• Dedication to mentoring student-athletes both on and off the ice
